safe church training

The Macedon Ranges Partnership congregations seek to be safe churches

Over recent months, the Macedon Ranges Partnership of the Uniting Church have run several Safe Church Training events. All leaders of the churches are expected to have participated in one of the events. Anyone else who would like to participate in the training is also encouraged to do so. Further training events can be arranged with Pastor Annette Buckley.

Congregations have been working with the guidance of the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania to develop and adopt policies and practices that ensure our congregations are safe places for all vulnerable people, including and especially children. This includes the establishment of Codes of Conduct for all leaders. The Partnership, through its Coordinating Council also has adopted a Safe Church policy as guided by Synod and all members of CoCo have affirmed its Code of Conduct.

Fish 'n Chip Church

A service with a difference! We meet for worship around a meal. Each person brings something to eat (not necessarily fish 'n chips) and the service is held during, before or after the meal. We share and encourage each other in this informal setting of celebration and worship. Holy Communion is celebrated in the context of the meal at each service. The service is normally held on the 2nd and 4th Friday evenings of each month from 6:30 pm and anyone is welcome to attend. See above on the worship roster for when the next service will be held.

Available to the public events
